Tokelau Language Week

Malo ni,
This week we had lots of talented wonderful people help us celebrate Tokelau Language week. Te Mauri's Dad and Nana helped provide the whole school with some delicious treats. Marisah and Rosa helped Ake teach Tui and Kea the Tokelau alphabet and older Tokelau students came into our class to teach us the Tokelau numbers.

Two more lovely Tuis

This week at school prayer we welcomed Catie and Oliver to Tui class. It was great to have both their ECE teachers and whanau there to be part of our whakatau (welcome).

Welcome Suraiyah

The first day of term was an extra special one as we welcomed Suraiyah and her whanau to school. Lofa her dad used to come here as a student and it was lovely for some of our staff to meet him again.

Tree Planting

To celebrate the 150 years of The Mission Sisters we all gathered together as a school and with the Sisters to plant a lovely kowhai tree. Te Mauri was chosen to join Kaelin in planting the tree as he was the youngest member of our school. We were so proud of the confident way he represented us.

Medical Mufti Day

What a fun way to finish the term. To raise money for Wellington Children's Hospital we all dressed up as patients or medical staff. Mrs Pennington loved practicing her bandaging skills.
