Celebrating the End of Term 2

What a great day Tui class had! We walked down to Petone Beach Kindy to see sing and play with our friends there. Once we got back to school we sat down to a wonderful shared lunch. It was nice to see a few of our Mums too.

Welcome back to school everyone

We've finished our first week back at school and everyone has settled into routines. At the end of last term we said "Goodbye" to some of our Tuis as they moved over to Ruru to make way for the new Tui children that will be starting this term.

On this lovely Friday we sat outside in the sun and had shared reading with our lovely buddies in Pukeko.

Lemon Tasting in Tui

This week we've been reading a poem about a yellow lemon. We wondered if a lemon would taste sweet or sour. Here are our before and after photos when we had the taste test.
Before we tasted the lemon we are all smiles. Maree, Kahlea and Mrs Pennington all had to taste it as well.

 After we'd tasted the lemon our expressions and reactions were great. Some of us actually liked the taste.
