Kiaora, Talofa, Hola, Welcome.
Haven't we had a fantastic summer? Lot's of sun, swimming and relaxation.
I am very excited about meeting all the new Tui tamariki and their whanau.
I have been teaching at Sacred Heart Petone now for 4 years. I love the school, it's small enough so we all get to know everyone and our community is a wonderful supporting cultural diverse mix of families.
I live in Alicetown, have 4 children, 2 are at college and my 10 year old twin girls go to Wilford.
At school I am part of the management team and lead the Junior Team, I've been a teacher at the New Entrant level for many years and one of my main goals is to provide an environment where children feel safe and confident. One of the most effective things I can do to help each child learn is to build a positive relationship with them and their families. Our classroom is an open door to all whanau at any time, there are lots of ways you can come in and help, in fact I really need helpers so please let me know if you could help out at all.
Please get into the habit of looking at our class blog with your child each week as I use it as a window to what we are doing in Tui class.
Thank you Jacqui Pennington
